Jordan Jones is an American artist raised in the Midwest and south Florida. He attributes much of his creativity to his practice of meditation - as he never thought of himself as a “creative person” until he began practicing the meditation called “no head.” This “no head” practice allows the person practicing to act as if they have no head, as a means to decentralize their consciousness, allowing him to become something outside of - or more than, his physical body. Thought experiments like these give him space to see and feel where his next piece will come from, like an emotional memory becoming unlocked when the work is revealed to him
