Diane Portwood is a twenty-two year old self taught contemporary fine artist. She uses acrylic, ink, spray paint, resin, and other mixed media in her works to merge the worlds of fine art and street art. Using bold colors and engaging graffiti backgrounds, Diane is able to depict the shortcomings of modern social constructs while also showing hope for the future in a delicate balance of optimism and cynicism. Diane draws from her experiences in male dominated fields like her engineering background and experience as a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitor to embrace the strength within femininity in her works.
