Leidy Mazo is a Colombian born artist who migrated to the US along with her family in her late teens. She began creating her art after recovering from a near death experience in a car  accident that left her temporarily disabled. She credits her inspiration to her past traumas and experiences coming from war torn Colombia, to growing up in a fast life in the US.

From art pieces expressing her views on war and pain around the world, to her commentary on consumerism and the moderan woman, Leidy’s neo-expressive work covers a wide array of subjects through the eyes of an immigrant refugee, who has lived a life many would consider as the American dream. She is currently looking use her platform to give back, by donating the proceeds from a line of teddy bears to help children in need
